WVR - On November 13, at the headquarters of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Member of the Party Central Committee's Secretariat, Foreign Minister Le Hoai Trung met with Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates of Jordan Ayman Al Safadi to discuss specific measures to implement the outcomes of the official visit to Vietnam by King Abdullah II Ibn Al Hussein of Jordan (November 12-13).

During the meeting, Foreign Minister Trung stated that Vietnam's leaders highly appreciate the official visit of King Abdullah II Ibn Al Hussein of Jordan to Vietnam, with strategic and substantive discussions that will guide the future relations between the two countries.

To implement the agreements reached during the visit, Minister Trung suggested that the Foreign Ministries of both countries take a leading role in promoting cooperation across all fields, establish contact points, organize political consultations, and appoint honorary consuls in each country. He also proposed that the foreign ministries consult with relevant ministries and sectors to suggest dialogue and cooperation channels in defense-security, agriculture, healthcare, education and training, tourism, and people-to-people exchanges.

For his part, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates Ayman Al Safadi affirmed that Vietnam is an important partner for Jordan and a gateway to the Southeast Asian market. He agreed with Minister Lê Hoài Trung's proposals and confirmed that the Jordanian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates will closely coordinate with the Vietnamese Ministry of Foreign Affairs to develop a roadmap for implementing these measures. He also suggested that both countries review the agreements that need to be expedited for signing to create a legal framework for bilateral relations and establish cooperation mechanisms to implement the commitments made during the visit.

Discussing regional and international issues, the two Ministers emphasized the importance of adhering to international law and the United Nations Charter. Regarding the Middle East Peace Process, both sides reiterated that the two-state solution is essential for achieving a lasting and sustainable peace for the Palestinian issue.
