First Vietnamese Fruit Festival to be held in Beijing from September 29-30

With the message of “Vietnamese fruits - Four seasons of deliciousness”, the festival aims to promote the brand and image of delicious and nutritious tropical fruits of Vietnam.

The first Vietnam Fruit Festival will be held in Beijing (China with the participation of numerous agricultural enterprises in Vietnam and specialized agricultural associations, importers and suppliers in China.

The Ministry of Industry and Trade (MoIT) will coordinate with the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development (MARD) to organize the fruit festival, with help from the Vietnamese Embassy in China, the Vietnam Fruits and Vegetables Association and Chinese partners.

Within the framework of the festival, there will be direct trading activities between Vietnamese enterprises and Chinese fruit importers and distributors, product experience programs, and discussions on the export potential of Vietnamese fruits.

The festival will include a common national pavilion with an area of 200-500m2 at the Tan Phat Dia Agricultural Products Distribution Center, Fengtai District, Beijing City. This is the largest fruit wholesale market in Beijing, distributing all kinds of fruits from the world officially imported into China.

The common national pavilion is expected to have 12 areas displaying specialized products of fruits and sweet potatoes that have been officially exported to China and one area of general products for Vietnamese enterprises to display, introduce and serve the products to visitors.

The export value of Vietnamese fruits and vegetables reached 3.33 billion USD in the first six months of 2024, a year-on-year increase of 24.3%.
