The exhibition is a special cultural activity aimed at introducing Japanese and international audiences to paintings about Vietnam's history. This is also the first time an exhibition on the Vietnam War is displayed in Fukuoka, featuring over 100 works by renowned Vietnamese artists, depicting the countryside, people, and the arduous yet heroic journeys of the Vietnamese nation during wartime.

Speaking at the opening ceremony, Consul General Vu Chi Mai emphasized that each painting is a slice of memory, reflecting both loss and separation while illuminating the spirit of resilience and the aspiration for peace – enduring values cherished by the Vietnamese people. She affirmed that the exhibition is not only a place to preserve national memories but also a cultural bridge connecting Vietnam and Japan – two countries with many similarities in tradition, culture, and the aspiration for peace.
