WVR - On 21 September, the Van Mieu - Quoc Tu Giam Centre for Cultural and Scientific Activities, in collaboration with the creative enterprise TiredCity, will inaugurate the exhibition themed “Dan toc tu hao” (Proud Nation), offering emotional images of the country.

With the desire to preserve the sacred pride of being Vietnamese, the “Proud Nation” exhibition showcases 40 illustrated artworks by 39 artists from across Vietnam.

Each artwork unveils its own story, from simple childhood memories and distinctive regional cultures to sacred symbols tied to history.

These could be the vibrant traditional garments of highland communities, simple relics of a bygone era, or the sacred red flag with a yellow star.

The series of artworks – pieces of the Vietnamese spirit – will form a visual space where memories, the present, and aspirations intersect.

In each stroke is a love for the homeland, a tribute to previous generations, and a belief in a bright future that the younger generation continues to write.

“Proud Nation” is part of a series of exhibitions organized by the Van Mieu-Quoc Tu Giam Cultural and Scientific Activity Center in collaboration with the creative enterprise TiredCity.

The event is supported and promoted by the Vietnam Local Artist Group (VLAG), Cổ Động, Chuyện của Hà Nội, RGB, and Hoa Văn Đại Việt.

The event offers a fresh artistic experience, helping to spread historical, cultural, and Vietnamese values beyond geographical and generational boundaries to reach young people, gradually positioning Văn Miếu-Quốc Tử Giám as a prominent Cultural & Creative destination in Hanoi.

Established in 2016, TiredCity is a chain of gift shops in Vietnam with the mission to serve as a bridge between customers and local cultural and creative values through products 100% co-created with local artists and partners.

With a network of nearly 200 collaborating artists and over 6,000 unique designs, TiredCity continues its journey to nurture the young creative community, gradually bringing Vietnamese art and culture closer to the domestic and international public.
