Welcoming the Hong Kong delegation, Director General Doan Hoang Minh emphasized that Vietnam's current immigration, visa, and residency policies for foreigners are very favorable and open. The Consular Department Director General expressed thanks and requested that the Hong Kong Immigration Department Head continue to facilitate Vietnamese citizens in entering, residing, working, and studying in Hong Kong. He also committed to supporting Chinese representative offices and Hong Kong authorities in consular protection for Hong Kong citizens in Vietnam.
Hong Kong Immigration Department Head Kwok Joon Fung Benson thanked the Consular Department for its support and close cooperation in recent times. He praised the improvements in Vietnam's immigration and consular policies and shared information about the situation of Vietnamese citizens entering and residing in Hong Kong. He expressed a desire for both sides to continue close cooperation in consular affairs and citizen protection in the future.
