VWR - On the afternoon of December 17, at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs headquarters, Member of the Party Central Committee, Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Nguyen Manh Cuong received Lao Consul General in Da Nang, Souphanh Hadaoheuang, for a farewell visit marking the end of his term in Vietnam.

During the meeting, Deputy Foreign Minister Nguyen Manh Cuong congratulated Consul General Souphanh Hadaoheuang on successfully completing the tasks assigned by the Lao Party, State, and Ministry of Foreign Affairs. He acknowledged and highly appreciated the Consul General's practical contributions in strengthening and developing the great friendship, special solidarity, and comprehensive cooperation between Vietnam and Laos.

The Deputy Foreign Minister emphasized that the recent state visit by General Secretary To Lam and his spouse to Laos marked an important milestone. Both sides agreed to elevate their relationship to a "great friendship, special solidarity, comprehensive cooperation, and strategic connection", thereby opening new prospects for increasingly profound, substantive, and effective bilateral cooperation.

Expressing the hope that the Consul General, in any position, will continue to contribute to nurturing the special, faithful relationship between the two countries, the Deputy Minister hoped that the Consul General would continue to foster good relations and support the incoming Consul General to quickly assume responsibilities, thereby contributing to promoting cooperation in key areas such as security, defense, economy, education and training, and local cooperation.

Consul General Souphanh Hadaoheuang expressed his gratitude to the Party, State, Government, and Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Vietnam for their constant support, close coordination, and favorable conditions provided to him and the Lao Consulate General in Da Nang throughout his term in Vietnam.

Expressing deep impressions of the dynamic and comprehensive development of Vietnamese localities, as well as the faithful friendship shown by the Vietnamese government and people towards Laos, Consul General Souphanh Hadaoheuang stated his honor in contributing to further promoting and deepening the great friendship, special solidarity, and comprehensive cooperation between the two countries. He affirmed that in any position, he would continue to support and contribute wholeheartedly to nurturing, preserving, and developing the special Laos-Vietnam relationship to become increasingly strong and effective.
