Consul General Doan Phuong Lan attends 'We Serve - Multicultural Family Dream Festival' in Busan, RoK
WVR - On the morning of January 18, in Geumjeong District, Busan, Vietnam's Consul General in Busan Doan Phuong Lan attended and delivered a speech at the "We Serve - Multicultural Family Dream Festival" organized by the Lions International Club in collaboration with multicultural family support centers in Busan.

The event featured opening remarks by Busan Mayor Park Hyeong Jun, along with several South Korean National Assembly members and Busan city officials.
This marks the first large-scale charity event in Busan, attracting a significant number of multicultural families in the area. The event aims to strengthen community bonds and promote activities that support integration into the local society, such as gift-giving, educational programs, sponsoring travel costs for the parents of foreign brides, and awarding scholarships to children of multicultural families.
In her speech, Consul General Doan Phuong Lan expressed gratitude for the attention from Busan's government and private organizations in Republic of Korea, who have actively contributed to organizing support activities for the Vietnamese community in the area, particularly for Vietnamese multicultural families.
The Consul General noted that Busan is increasingly establishing itself as a global, open city, continually developing and aiming to build a multicultural social foundation.

The Consul General also encouraged the community to persist in learning, proactively advance, and emphasized that their journey to build a home is also a journey to enrich Busan's multicultural identity. This serves as a cultural bridge connecting Vietnam and Republic of Korea.
Consul General Doan Phuong Lan affirmed that the Consulate General will always be a reliable support for the Vietnamese community in the region and will strive to promote the excellent cooperative relationship between Vietnam and Busan, Republic of Korea.
