Bac Ninh’s state budget revenue in first five months reaches 51.9% of annual estimate

WVR - According to statistics from Bac Ninh Province, in the first five months of 2025, total state budget revenue in the locality is estimated at VND 20,086 billion, equivalent to 51.9% of the annual estimate and up 23.5% compared to the same period last year.

Of this, domestic revenue is estimated at VND 16,505 billion, reaching 54.9% of the year’s estimate and increasing by 28.8%. Revenue from customs is estimated at VND 3,560 billion, reaching 41.4% of the estimate and increasing by 4.1%.

Regarding domestic revenue, several revenue sources recorded high implementation rates and significant growth compared to the same period last year, including: personal income tax at 63.3% of the estimate, up 16%; revenue from foreign direct investment enterprises at 56.1%, up 34.4%; and registration fees at 54.6%, up 29.9%.

Also in the first five months of the year, total state budget expenditure in the province is estimated at VND 11,235 billion, equal to 50.5% of the plan and up 72.1% compared to the same period last year.

Development investment spending was estimated at VND 6,308 billion, while recurrent expenditure reached approximately VND 4,923 billion. Additionally, spending tasks for the month were carried out as planned, meeting the demands of socio-economic development, national defense, security, state administration, and social welfare.

In 2025, Bac Ninh Province aims for a growth rate of 8% or higher, striving to achieve double-digit growth.

The province has identified several key breakthrough tasks, including: establishing Bac Ninh as a crucial hub and pillar within Vietnam’s semiconductor industry ecosystem; focusing on building an innovation ecosystem to drive rapid development, aiming to become a national and regional center for innovation.

At the same time, Bac Ninh is pushing forward with digital transformation, closely tied to the development of digital government, digital economy, digital society, and digital citizenship. The goal is to make Bac Ninh one of the country’s leading centers for education, research, and development.

Currently, the province is implementing a series of major infrastructure projects, such as the Ring Road 4 project in the Hanoi Capital Region; Phase 1 and 2 of the Gia Binh Airport project; preparation for investment in a 46 km road connecting Gia Binh Airport to downtown Hanoi; construction of Kenh Vang Bridge connecting to Hai Duong Province; and the Ha Bac 2 Bridge linking to Bac Giang Province.

In the first quarter of 2025, Bac Ninh focused on streamlining and reorganizing its administrative apparatus, while implementing measures to boost budget revenue—particularly increasing revenue from land use fees, preventing tax losses, and tapping into production and business revenue sources.
