On June 3, at the Presidential Palace in Sofia, Bulgaria, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam to Bulgaria Nguyen Thi Minh Nguyet presented the Letter of Credentials of President Luong Cuong to President of the Republic of Bulgaria Rumen Radev.

The ceremony was held solemnly, with the participation of senior advisors of the President, leaders of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and officials of the Embassy of Vietnam in Bulgaria.

President Rumen Radev congratulated Ambassador Nguyen Thi Minh Nguyet on her new position on the occasion of the 75th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between the two countries (1950-2025).

Expressing his delight at the new developments in bilateral relations, the President highly appreciated the potential for cooperation with Vietnam in various fields and hoped that the trade turnover between the two countries will continue to grow. Emphasizing that economic, trade and investment cooperation is an area with much room for development, the Bulgarian President said that the two sides should focus on deepening their cooperative relations in the coming time.

President Rumen Radev affirmed that Bulgaria always considers Vietnam a trustworthy, sincere and loyal friend; emphasizing that the current trust and close ties between the two countries are contributed by Vietnamese people who used to live, work and study in Bulgaria.

Ambassador Nguyen Thi Minh Nguyet expressed her delight and respectfully conveyed the greetings and best wishes of the leaders of the Party and State of Vietnam to President Rumen Radev, his Spouse, the Government and people of Bulgaria.

Emphasizing that the traditional friendship and multifaceted cooperation between the two countries are increasingly developing positively, especially since President Rumen Radev's visit to Vietnam (November 2024), the Ambassador also affirmed that Vietnam always attaches importance to promoting bilateral relations with Bulgaria, aiming to strengthen cooperation with the Central Eastern Europe region in particular and the European Union (EU) in general.

Ambassador Nguyen Thi Minh Nguyet affirmed that she will closely coordinate with relevant Bulgarian agencies and make every effort to contribute to the comprehensive and substantive development of the relationship between the two countries in the coming time, including strengthening the exchange of high-level delegations and promoting economic and trade cooperation. At the same time, the Ambassador said that the two sides are closely coordinating to organize the Vietnam-Bulgaria Economic Cooperation Forum on the occasion of the 75th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations in Sofia scheduled for July 3, in hybrid format.

On this occasion, Ambassador Nguyet also asked the Bulgarian President to continue facilitating conditions and supporting the Vietnamese community to live and work stably, integrate and contribute positively to the socio-economic development of Bulgaria.
