The “I love diplomacy” summer camp is an annual activity designed to encourage children of the diplomatic service to better understand and appreciate the profession, the daily dedication of their parents, and to provide a meaningful space for learning, connection, and intergenerational exchange.

It reflects the ministry’s genuine care for its officials, staff, and employees, as well as for their families - the steadfast support behind every diplomat.

Speaking at the event, Madame Vu Thi Bich Ngoc highlighted that the camp is a meaningful initiative, not only offering the children a rewarding playground to learn, interact, and build skills, but also nurturing the qualities needed to become “young diplomats” in the future.

Over the years, the summer camp has become a cherished tradition, where children make new friends, join games, practice life skills, and gain a glimpse into their parents’ work. This year’s program carried special significance as it coincided with the 80th anniversary of the establishment of Vietnam's diplomatic sector. Madame Bich Ngoc also expressed her hope that the children would feel greater pride and affection for their parents after this year’s camp.

“In the future, you may well become the next generation to carry forward the proud tradition of your parents, making valuable contributions to the diplomatic service and to the cause of building and defending the nation,” she shared with the children.

Earlier, as part of the program, the participants visited the vietnam Military History Museum, where they learned about the heroic history of the armed forces from the earliest days of their establishment through the resistance wars against foreign invaders.

The “young diplomats” listened to stories of the nation’s victories and sacrifices, which inspired a stronger sense of patriotism and pride in Vietnam's resilient spirit. Each account left a lasting impression, deepening their understanding of the nation’s legacy of courage and love for the homeland.

With its enriching and practical activities, the “I love diplomacy” summer camp continues to serve as a vital bridge, helping the future generations of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs preserve and promote the treasured values of a comprehensive, modern Vietnamese diplomacy.
