This year's festival is organized in the context of Vietnam having successfully held the 14th National Congress of the Communist Party, ushering in a new phase of national development.

Additionally, the Vietnam-Japan Comprehensive Strategic Partnership is expected to enter a phase of robust, substantive, and deeper development. Japan is currently one of Vietnam's important and reliable partners in various fields, from economy and culture to education and people-to-people exchanges.

Through the festival, the Organizing Committee aims to help the Japanese public gain a deeper understanding of Vietnam, thereby promoting people-to-people exchanges and strengthening the bond between the Vietnamese community in Japan and Japanese friends.

For the Vietnamese community living, studying, and working in Osaka in particular and the Kansai region in general, the festival is not only a cultural space but also an opportunity to connect the community, alleviate homesickness, and strengthen the bond of the overseas Vietnamese community with the homeland, aiming towards the aspiration of building a peaceful, independent, prosperous, and happy Vietnam as set out by the 14th Congress.

This aspiration is not only shared by the people within the country but also by millions of overseas Vietnamese who always follow and accompany the country's development in the new era.

With the theme "Vietnam now – Taste, sound, smile: Experiencing Vietnam with all five senses", this year's festival aims to recreate a vibrant, modern Vietnamese atmosphere right in the heart of Osaka.

In terms of cuisine, dozens of stalls will showcase signature dishes such as pho, bun bo, banh mi, nem, and coffee, prepared and served directly by reputable Vietnamese restaurants in Osaka and the Kansai region.

Regarding art, the program will feature performances by artists from Vietnam and Japanese artists who love Vietnamese culture.

In terms of tourism, the festival is an opportunity to introduce the Japanese public to new and attractive destinations in Vietnam.

Notably, the Organizing Committee will also implement health and consular consultation activities to support the community of approximately 140,000 Vietnamese in the Kansai region, as well as compatriots from other areas.

The 3rd Vietnam Festival in Osaka is scheduled to take place over two days, March 7-8, at Taiyo no Hiroba, Osaka Castle Park, featuring many Vietnamese and Japanese artists, including Hoàng Duyên, Jsol, and Lâm Bảo Ngọc. It promises to offer the people of Osaka, the Kansai region, and visitors rich, close, and emotional Vietnamese cultural experiences.
