Young generation learns about sovereignty and territorial borders protection in new situation

The Youth Union of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Youth Union of the Party Central Committee (PCC)'s Commission for External Relations had a meaningful and useful workshop to learn about the work of protecting sovereignty and territorial borders in the new situation.

The National Border Committee in cooperation with the Youth Union of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Youth Union of the Party Central Committee's Commission for External Relations organized a workshop to learn about the work of protecting sovereignty and territorial borders in the new situation on Nov. 3 in Hanoi.

With the support of the leaders of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the National Border Committee and the Party Committee of the National Border Committee, the National Border Committee's Grassgroots Youth Union for the first time coordinated with the Youth Union of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Youth Union of the Party Central Committee's Commission for External Relations to organize a workshop to learn about protecting sovereignty and territorial borders in the new situation on November 3 in Hanoi.

The workshop was co-chaired by comrade Mr. Nguyen Minh Dung, Secretary of the Grassroots Youth Union of the National Border Committee, and comrade Pho Duc Duong, Secretary of the Youth Union of the PCC's Commission for External Relations.

Also attending the discussion were comrade Dao Van Hieu, Secretary of the Youth Union of the PCC’s Commission for Communication and Education, as well as youth union members and young cardes of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the PCC's Commission for External Relations Central Committee for Foreign Affairs.

At the seminar, youth union members, young officials listened to two presentations namely "Guidelines and policies of our Party and State in relations with neighboring countries China, Laos and Cambodia to protect sovereignty, territorial borders and maintain a peaceful, secure and stable environment" presented by Mr. Nguyen Minh Tam, Member of the Standing Committee, Director of the Laos - Cambodia Department, Party Central Committee's Commission for External Relations and “Recent situation of the East Sea and Vietnam's policy in the fight to protect sovereignty over seas and islands" presented by comrade Tran Truong Thuy, Deputy Director in charge of the Sea Department under the National Border Committee.

The two presentations received positive response from union members and young officials attending the workshop through a lively and engaging question and answer session, with many profound and frank exchanges of opinions, showing the confident and great concern of young generation nowadays for issues of sovereignty, national borders and territory, especially young officials working in external .

Through the discussion program, the Organizing Committee hopes that union members, youth, and young officials will continue to nurture their passion; love for their profession; and understand the work of The Party and State in efforts to protect the national sovereignty and territorial borders; strive to maintain strong political mettle, follow in the footstep of ancestors to firmly protect the country, and move the country forward on the path of socialism.

In the coming time, the Youth Union of the National Border Committee will continue to work with the Youth Union of the PCC's Commission for External Relations and other agencies, organziations to set up more meaningful and useful activity programs for youth union members from different agencies study and exchange together.
