Vietnam's second aid flight to Venezuela lands at Simón Bolívar International Airport

WVR - At noon on June 30, the second special flight carrying humanitarian aid from Vietnam landed at Simon Bolivar International Airport, Maiquetira, La Guaira state, Venezuela.

The flight carried a total of 45.6 tons of aid goods, including 35 tons of dry food, 4 tons of medicine, 2 tons of canned meat, 4 generators, 500 tents, 10 large tents, and 50,000 rolls of bandages… donated to the people of Venezuela to overcome the earthquake disaster on June 24.

Welcoming the delegation at the airport were Member of the Central Committee of the United Socialist Party of Venezuela (PSUV), Permanent Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Venezuela Rander Pina; Vietnamese Ambassador to Venezuela Vu Trung My.

Speaking at the handover ceremony of the relief goods, Permanent Deputy Minister Rander Pena once again expressed the deep gratitude of the PSUV party, the Government, and the people of Venezuela to the Party, State, and people of Vietnam.

According to information from Vietnam Airlines, the cargo flight numbered VN68, operated by a wide-body Airbus A350, took off from Noi Bai Airport at 11:30 PM on June 29. Onboard were goods to support the Venezuelan people along with equipment and supplies for the rescue forces.

After a technical stop at Paris Charles de Gaulle Airport (France), the aircraft, bearing Vietnam's familiar golden lotus, continued its journey to Simón Bolívar International Airport in Caracas, Venezuela, completing a nearly 24-hour flight.

To carry out the cargo flight, Vietnam Airlines arranged a crew of 15 people, including 6 pilots, 3 flight attendants, 2 engineers, and 4 ground service staff.

Earlier, in the early morning of June 29 (Vietnam time), Vietnam Airlines conducted a flight carrying 124 officers and soldiers from the Ministry of Defense, Ministry of Public Security, along with 10 service dogs and 25 tons of equipment to Venezuela to assist in overcoming the earthquake aftermath.

The flight landed safely at Simón Bolívar International Airport, Caracas, Venezuela at 12:10 PM (local time) on the same day.
