Apart from the five students and those who are attending the fourth course, there are more than other 800 Vietnamese students studying and researching at agricultural centres and institutes of Israel.
Addressing the event, Professor Raanan Rein, TAU Vice Rector, applauded efforts made by the students during the 18-month course.
The programme aims to support global food safety and security, and equip international students with knowledge to contribute to their homeland, he said.
Khuat Van Quyen, a representative from the Vietnamese Embassy in Israel, thanked TAU and AICAT for their support for Vietnamese students, stressing this is a demonstration of the strong Vietnam-Israel relationship.
Launched in 2014, the programme offers a good opportunity for Vietnamese students to access Israel’s modern agricultural knowledge and skills. Currently, there are four centres participating in the enrollment of students in Vietnam, including AICATA, Ramat Negev, Sdot Negev and Agrostudies.
