Attending and cutting the ribbon on the Pakistani side were the Governor of Sindh Province, Mr. Syed Nehal Hashmi, representatives of the Federation of Pakistan Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FPCCI), KCCI, representatives of associations, and leading businesses from Pakistan and China specializing in pharmaceuticals, machinery manufacturing, high-tech precision engineering, machine tools, mining, and plastic processing...

On the afternoon of May 13, Ambassador Pham Anh Tuan met and exchanged views with the President of the Karachi Chamber of Commerce and Industry (KCCI), Mr. Muhammad Rehan Hanif, and the KCCI leadership.

The Vietnamese Embassy in Pakistan, in collaboration with KCCI, co-organized the "Seminar to Promote Vietnam-Pakistan Trade Relations in the Region's New Context" with the participation of more than 30 Pakistani businesses in general and those in Karachi in particular.

The aforementioned businesses have long-standing relationships with the regional market and Vietnam and expressed interest in resolving technical difficulties, exploring opportunities, and finding partners for cooperation. The seminar is a key activity in strengthening links between associations and businesses of the two countries, encouraging joint venture projects.

The Ambassador and our Trade Office in Karachi affirmed that Vietnam is ready to support Pakistani businesses in accessing the market, especially with Halal products serving the Muslim community, while addressing concerns and queries from some businesses, particularly regarding visa applications for Pakistani entrepreneurs entering Vietnam, meeting partners, and inspecting goods...

On this occasion, the Vietnamese Trade Office in Karachi also extended an invitation to the leadership, representatives of KCCI, and partner businesses to attend the Vietnam International Sourcing Fair, which will be held in Ho Chi Minh City in September 2026.

Additionally, the Ambassador and the Embassy's delegation also met and worked with representatives of the Pakistan Tea Association (PTA). During the meeting, both sides reaffirmed the necessity of maintaining trade relations, exploiting cooperation potential, and seeking solutions to boost tea exports, especially CTC black tea meeting Halal standards, to Pakistan.

The Ambassador proposed increasing business delegation exchanges, organizing trade promotion programs, promoting products, and building the Vietnamese tea brand in the Pakistani market, as well as supporting and facilitating the transit of Vietnamese green tea through Pakistan to enter the Afghan market.

Representatives of the businesses also candidly discussed practical difficulties such as technical barriers, quarantine regulations, traceability, customs clearance procedures, especially the issue of obtaining entry visas to Vietnam for representatives of Pakistani tea companies.

Ambassador Pham Anh Tuan affirmed that the Vietnamese Embassy and Trade Office in Pakistan will accompany and support businesses in overcoming obstacles, promoting more substantive and effective cooperation in the tea sector, contributing to the growth of bilateral trade turnover in the coming time.

During the working visit, Ambassador Pham Anh Tuan visited and worked at the headquarters of the Al Rahim Group of Companies. This group specializes in providing solutions and services, especially in the field of tourism promotion (including passenger and cargo airlines), consular procedure support, and Halal food.

The Ambassador and the delegation acknowledged the information provided by the group, as well as proposed cooperation with Vietnamese businesses. At the same time, the delegation also took the opportunity to introduce Vietnam's achievements during the 13th Party Congress term and major development orientations for Vietnam in the 14th Party Congress term.
