Vietnamese artist’s paintings sold at high prices in Hong Kong

Diem Tinh (Idylle), made on silk, drawn in the 1940s, was sold for the highest amount at 2,000,000 HKD (256,308 USD), while Co Gai Uong Tra (The Lady with Teacup) was sold for 1,000,000 HKD and Co Gai Viet (Vietnamese lady) for 725,000 HKD.

Seven works of artist Mai Trung Thu (1906-1980) were also sold at high prices, including Chuyen Dan Gian (Fairy Tale) for 812,500 HKD, Khan Choang Vang (The Yellow Scarf)) for 437,500 HKD and Co Gai Tre Chau Au trong Vuon Hoa Nhat (Young European Lady in a Japanese Garden) for 375,000 HKD.
Paintings by Vu Cao Dam (1908-2000), Nguyen Trung (1940) and Hoang Tich Tru (1912-2003) were also sold out at the auction.
