The Christmas Fair is an annual charity event sponsored by the Spouse of the Belarusian Foreign Minister and organized by the Diplomatic Spouses Association in Minsk. It brings together over 30 foreign representative offices and international organizations, painting a colourful picture of the cultural life in the Belarusian capital during the year-end festivities.

Beyond being a charitable activity, this year's fair is also a miniature international cultural festival. Attendees can enjoy cultural and artistic programs, explore culinary delights, and learn about different countries through unique souvenirs and cultural artifacts.

Amidst the cultural exchange and festive atmosphere, the Vietnamese booth stood out as a captivating destination for attendees. It featured vibrant decorations and showcased the image of Vietnam's land, people, tourism, and cuisine. Traditional handicrafts and souvenirs rich in national cultural identity received significant interest and appreciation from numerous visitors.

Vietnam's contribution was also vividly displayed on the fair's art stage. Special performances by Vietnamese youth in Belarus received enthusiastic applause from the international audience, bringing a youthful, modern yet traditionally rich Eastern cultural breeze to the European festive space.

Speaking to Channel 1 Belarus Television, Vietnamese Ambassador to Belarus Nguyen Van Trung emphasized: “The Embassy highly values this event and participates annually on an increasingly larger scale. The Vietnamese booth contributes to the Fair's Charity Fund, embodying the spirit of sharing and contributing to humanitarian activities in the host country. On this occasion, Vietnam also aims to introduce Belarusian and international friends to Vietnam's land, people, culture, and cuisine.”

In her opening remarks, Mrs. Natalia Ryzhenkova, Spouse of the Belarusian Foreign Minister, highlighted the significance of the Fair: “The increasing number of participants each year demonstrates the importance of kindness, charity spirit, and concern for those in difficult circumstances.”

Mrs. Tatiana Moinea, President of the Ambassadors' Spouses Club, shared that all proceeds from the Fair, including contributions from the booths, will be transformed into meaningful gifts to support those in need. This year's humanitarian highlight of the Fair is the “Tree of Kindness,” where New Year wishes for children in special circumstances are conveyed.

Diverse and proactive participation from exhibitions, art performances to exchange activities at the Fair showcased a dynamic, integrated Vietnam, always ready to join hands in international community and humanitarian activities. This contributes to fostering friendship and mutual understanding, enhancing people-to-people exchanges between Vietnam and Belarus.
