FM Onyeama congratulated Vietnam on its major achievements in national industrialisation and economic development. He also highly valued efforts the Vietnamese Government has made in COVID-19 prevention, and expressed his belief that the Government and people of Vietnam will succeed in the COVID-19 fight.
Meanwhile, Deputy PM Minh affirmed that Vietnam attaches importance to cooperation with countries in the African Union, including Nigeria – the second largest economy in Africa.
He spoke highly of the development of the Vietnam-Nigeria ties in recent times and suggested the two sides continue to deepen bilateral ties in areas of their strength.
The two sides agreed to increase high-level visits and strengthen bilateral cooperation mechanisms in the coming time. They agreed to boost economic-trade relations, particularly in trade, agriculture, manufacturing, energy, transport and information technology.
They also exchanged views on international issues of mutual concern.
