Foreign Minister Le Hoai Trung awards Commemorative Medal for the Cause of Vietnam's Diplomacy to RoK Ambassador Choi Young Sam
WVR - On the afternoon of July 15, at the headquarters of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Politburo Member, Party Secretary of the Ministry, and Minister of Foreign Affairs Le Hoai Trung received Republic of Korea Ambassador Choi Young Sam for a farewell meeting on the occasion of the conclusion of his term in Vietnam. On this occasion, Minister Le Hoai Trung awarded the Commemorative Medal “For the Cause of Vietnam's Diplomacy” to Ambassador Choi Young Sam in recognition of his contributions to the diplomatic relations between Vietnam and the Republic of Korea.

During the meeting, Minister Le Hoai Trung congratulated Ambassador Choi Young Sam on successfully completing his term in Vietnam and highly appreciated the Ambassador's proactive and positive contributions in promoting the development of cooperative relations between Vietnam and the Republic of Korea.
The Minister highlighted some outstanding achievements in the bilateral relations during the Ambassador's term, including the regular exchange of high-level delegations, which contributed to enhancing political trust; the Republic of Korea's continued position as a leading economic partner of Vietnam; the expanding people-to-people exchanges; and the strengthened cooperation and mutual support on regional and international forums, thereby significantly contributing to maintaining a peaceful, stable, cooperative, and developing environment in the region and internationally.

Congratulating Ambassador Choi Young Sam on receiving the Commemorative Medal “For the Cause of Vietnam's Diplomacy”, Minister Le Hoai Trung affirmed that this is a prestigious award recognizing the Ambassador's sentiments and contributions to the development of bilateral relations in recent times.
The Minister emphasised several major orientations to promote bilateral relations in the future; affirmed the commitment to work with the Republic of Korea to effectively implement agreements and cooperation commitments between the high-level leaders of both countries; and welcomed the Republic of Korea's agreement to accompany Vietnam in the new development phase.
Minister Le Hoai Trung expressed confidence that with his extensive experience, deep understanding, and affection for Vietnam, Ambassador Choi Young Sam, in any position, will continue to support and promote the cooperative relations between the two countries to become more substantive, effective, and comprehensive in the future.
For his part, Ambassador Choi Young Sam expressed his sincere gratitude to Minister Le Hoai Trung and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Vietnam for their constant support, close coordination, and facilitation that enabled him to fulfill his duties during his term in Vietnam.
The Ambassador also expressed his delight at witnessing and contributing to the promotion of the Comprehensive Strategic Partnership between the Republic of Korea and Vietnam.

Sharing his positive impressions and affection for the country and people of Vietnam, especially its socio-economic development, Ambassador Choi Young Sam emphasised that Vietnam has become a leading partner of the Republic of Korea in implementing foreign policy in the region, and the Republic of Korea has become a reliable partner of Vietnam in cooperation across various fields.
Ambassador Choi Young Sam affirmed that after returning to his country, he will continue to actively contribute to the development of bilateral relations, regardless of his position.
