The workshop was attended by Vietnamese Ambassador to Mozambique Tran Thi Thu Thin, CCIMV President Arlindo Duate, President of the Mozambique Industrial Association (AIMO) Paulo Chibanga, Director General of the Mozambique Investment and Export Promotion Agency (APIEX) Gil Bires, Head of the Commercial Section, Vietnamese Embassy in South Africa concurrently accredited to Mozambique Phạm Hải, along with numerous Mozambican businesses interested in the Vietnamese market.

In her opening remarks, Ambassador Tran Thi Thu Thin emphasized that Vietnam and Mozambique share a traditional friendship and fruitful cooperation across various fields, nurtured over half a century of collaboration and mutual trust. According to the Ambassador, while political diplomacy builds trust, economic diplomacy serves as a bridge to transform that trust into tangible outcomes.
The Ambassador affirmed that Vietnam and Mozambique have highly complementary economies and there is ample room to expand cooperation in potential areas such as trade, agriculture, processing industries, mining, renewable energy, and information technology.
The Ambassador welcomed Mozambican businesses to Vietnam to explore the market and seek business cooperation opportunities.

During the workshop, delegates received information from the Vietnamese Embassy on Vietnam's political, socio-economic situation, foreign policy, and the Vietnam-Mozambique cooperation over the past 50 years, as well as future cooperation directions.
The presentation provided Mozambican delegates with a comprehensive view of Vietnam's development potential, open-door policy, and prospects for enhancing the partnership between the two nations.
Participating online, Head of the Commercial Section, Vietnamese Embassy in South Africa concurrently accredited to Mozambique Pham Hai also informed delegates about the potential and opportunities for trade and investment cooperation between the two countries, helping Mozambican businesses better understand Vietnam's business environment, infrastructure, preferential policies, and potential cooperation opportunities.

Representatives from AIMO, CCIMV, and Mozambican businesses highly appreciated the significance of the workshop and the role of the Vietnamese Embassy in Mozambique as a bridge between the business communities of the two countries. They also expressed a desire to expand cooperation with Vietnamese partners in various fields, aiming for sustainable trade and investment cooperation and mutual development.
CCIMV President Arlindo Duarte particularly emphasized the importance of maintaining regular trade promotion activities, which are practical tools to enhance connectivity and mutual understanding between the business communities of the two countries.

The highlight of the workshop was the signing ceremony of the Memorandum of Understanding on cooperation between CCIMV and AIMO, laying the foundation for closer coordination in supporting and connecting member businesses of the two associations, especially those interested in and oriented towards cooperation with Vietnamese partners.
Concluding the program, in a friendly and amicable atmosphere, the delegates mingled and enjoyed traditional Vietnamese cuisine such as pho, tea, and coffee.
