Viet Nam has gone 18 days without new community infection case of COVID-19 , the National Steering Committee for COVID-19 Prevention and Control reported Sunday afternoon.

This means the country’s patient tally remains unchanged at 1,068, including 942 recovered cases and 35 fatalities.

Of the total, 691 are locally-transmitted cases, said the national steering committee.

At present, the nation is placing 24,396 people under quarantine and medical surveillance, including 410 at hospitals, 14,790 at concentrated camps and 9,196 at places of residence.
