Vietnam has had no community infection of COVID-19 for 43 straight days since April 16 morning.
One more COVID-19 patient was given the all-clear on May 29, bringing the number of recoveries to 279, or 85 percent of the total cases.
Among the remaining 48 patients under treatment, 9 have tested negative once for SARS-CoV-2, the virus that causes COVID-19, and 17 have tested negative at least twice.
A total of 7,870 people are being quarantined across the country.
