A highlight in the international cooperation activities of the Vietnam Education Publishing House since the beginning of 2026 is the harmonious combination of maintaining traditional friendships and expanding professional cooperation based on the practical needs of partners.
The business trip to Cuba in early February is a clear testament to this approach. Based on the cooperation agreement signed with the Cuban Ministry of Higher Education in 2025, both parties continued to discuss support in printing, book distribution, and sharing experiences in the publishing field.
According to information from the trip, the Vietnam Education Publishing House completed the printing of 7,000 copies of the book "A Nation as a University" and delivered all these books to Cuba. The unit also continued to print a book commemorating the 100th birthday of Leader Fidel Castro. Associate Professor Dr. Nguyen Thanh Tung – Member of the Board, head of the delegation – reaffirmed the commitment to continue supporting Cuba in printing and publishing books, emphasizing that strengthening cooperation and supporting the Cuban Ministry of Higher Education is “a command from the heart”.
Notably, the Cuban side considers this one of the most important international cooperation activities of the Cuban Ministry of Higher Education in recent times. This recognition shows that educational publishing cooperation has gone beyond mere professional frameworks, becoming a bridge of friendship, sharing, and companionship between the two nations.
If Cuba reflects the depth of traditional solidarity, the series of activities in Laos highlights an increasingly substantial cooperative relationship. From participating in the 6th International Book and Culture Festival with dozens of books introducing Vietnam to in-depth discussions on enterprise restructuring, digital transformation, management, and publishing development, the Vietnam Education Publishing House and the Lao Education and Sports Publishing House are gradually expanding cooperation in a long-term direction, aligned with the development requirements of the publishing industry in the new context.
The valuable point is that the exchange content does not stop at book introductions or enhanced exchanges but delves into core issues such as enterprise management, human resource development, printing technology, finance, and digital education communication. This is also the foundation for the cooperation relationship between the two units to become increasingly sustainable, effective, and adaptable to the rapid changes of the modern publishing environment.

The business trip to the United Kingdom in May clearly demonstrated this orientation. In the work program with many partners on publishing, educational technology, copyright, and digital resources, the delegation not only explored new trends in the publishing industry but also expanded cooperation opportunities to develop modern learning materials for Vietnamese education.
The meeting with Oxford University Press continues nearly a decade of cooperation between the two units in English book publishing, especially the English textbook series Friends under the 2018 General Education Program. Building on the established foundation, both sides continued discussions on the digital product ecosystem, learning material development, and global educational publishing innovation trends, opening up many prospects for cooperation in the next phase.
Another highlight is the Vietnam Education Publishing House's enhanced cooperation with Efekta Education to develop AI-driven English teaching and learning solutions. The memorandum of understanding signed at the beginning of 2026 not only aims to build digital learning materials but also sets goals to support teachers, personalize learning, increase educational access, and manage with data. These contents show that international cooperation is closely tied to the digital transformation requirements of Vietnam's education sector.
Additionally, meetings with partners on technology, image copyright, video, and digital resources in the United Kingdom also contributed to helping the Vietnam Education Publishing House gain more experience in developing modern learning materials. These activities reflect a proactive integration mindset: not only receiving technology but also selecting suitable models to serve domestic educational innovation requirements.

If professional business trips expand the cooperation space, book donation activities abroad bring a different meaning. They bring Vietnamese culture and language closer to the overseas Vietnamese community and international friends.
In the early months of 2026, this journey extended from the Russian Federation to France and Italy. In St. Petersburg, the Vietnam Education Publishing House donated a "Vietnamese Bookshelf" to the Russian-Vietnamese Cultural Center at Herzen State Pedagogical University.
Books on Vietnamese language, culture, history, geography, children's literature, along with Russian language textbooks compiled by the Vietnam Education Publishing House, have contributed to supplementing learning resources for students, lecturers, and researchers on Vietnam. This activity not only expands access to Vietnamese knowledge but also promotes cultural and educational exchanges between the two countries.
In France, on the occasion of the 115th anniversary of President Ho Chi Minh's first visit to France, the delegation of the Vietnam Education Publishing House donated many books on education, literature, Vietnamese culture, and publications about President Ho Chi Minh to the Vietnam Cultural Center in France. These books were not only added to the "Vietnamese Bookshelf" but also introduced at a commemorative exhibition, contributing to spreading Vietnam's historical, cultural, and educational values to the overseas Vietnamese community and international friends.
Subsequently, in Italy, the "Community Bookshelf" donated to the Vietnamese Embassy added learning resources for the Vietnamese community, especially the younger generation, in learning Vietnamese and exploring their homeland.
