Vietnam Book and Reading Culture Day 2023 slated from April 21 to May 1 in Hue City

The second Vietnam Book and Reading Culture Day 2023 is scheduled to take place from April 21 to May 1 at Thua Thien Hue History Museum in the Imperial Academy (Quoc Tu Giam), attracting the participation of over 30 publishing houses and printing companies nationwide.

The event will run with the theme of “Book: awareness – innovation- creativity” and will consist of 16 displaying areas, introducing various genres of publications such as children’s books, books on literature, economics, science and technology, ebooks, and books written in foreign languages.

As part of the occasion, numerous events, such as exhibitions, book exchanges, discussions, seminars, and art performances introducing the culture, history, and people of Thua Thien Hue will also be held.

Vietnam Book and Reading Culture Day seeks to honour the role and importance of books in education and social life, as well as promoting reading culture in the nation. It will also celebrate people who are involved in book publishing and distribution, such as authors, editors, publishers, distributors, and librarians.
