Vietnam attends the 11th World Halal Summit and Halal Expo 2025 in Istanbul, Turkey

These events are organized by Discover Events under the patronage of the President of the Republic of Turkey, in collaboration with the Standards and Metrology Institute for Islamic Countries (SMIIC), the Islamic Centre for Development of Trade (ICDT), and related organizations of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC), with support from the Foreign Economic Relations Board of Turkey (DEIK).

The conference aims to raise awareness about various aspects of the Halal economy, support industry development, and promote cooperation.
This year's World Halal Summit gathers international experts, government officials, scholars, and Islamic law experts from around the world (18 countries, 59 speakers, 9,000 delegates), featuring 10 discussion sessions addressing topics related to the Halal economy in sectors such as finance, tourism, food, pharmaceuticals, cosmetics, textiles, and fashion.

Meanwhile, Halal Expo 2025 features over 500 exhibitors from around 40 countries in fields such as Halal food, cosmetics, finance, textiles, tourism, and healthcare. The expo attracts 40,000-50,000 visitors from more than 110 countries, with over 5,000 business networking meetings.
Vietnam's Ambassador to Turkey Dang Thi Thu Ha, representatives from the Middle East - Africa Department of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, and a delegation from Lam Đong province led by Dinh Van Tuan, Provincial Party Member and Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, attended the opening ceremony and discussion sessions of the World Halal Summit.

During the summit, Vietnamese delegates met with İhsan Övüt, Secretary General of SMIIC, and Zafer Soylu, President of the Turkish Halal Accreditation Agency (HAK), to learn about the unified Halal standards development process, Halal accreditation services in Turkey, Vietnam's potential and advantages in Halal, and prospects for Halal cooperation between Vietnam and Turkey. They also discussed forms of cooperation between the two sides and coordination between relevant agencies of both countries in this field.

At Halal Expo 2025, with two exhibition booths, Vietnamese enterprises made a strong impression by showcasing a diverse range of products from agriculture, food, cosmetics, pharmaceuticals, and tourism.
The active participation of Vietnamese small and medium enterprises not only promotes the image of Vietnam's products and services globally with professionalism and creativity but also reaffirms Vietnam's potential to become a reliable link in the global Halal supply chain.

Turkish Minister of Trade Ömer Bolat, Deputy Governor of Istanbul Elif Canan Tuncer, and Chairman of the Board of Discover Events, Chairman of the World Halal Summit Council Yunus Ete visited Vietnam's exhibition booth.

In addition to attending these events, the Lam Dong delegation visited Konya province, a leading center for agriculture and industry in Turkey, known for agricultural machinery and automotive parts production, to promote Lam Dong and seek business cooperation opportunities with Konya enterprises.
