WVR - On November 19, the Vietnamese Embassy in Poland, in collaboration with the Lubelskie provincial authorities, organized a ceremony to posthumously award the Friendship Order from the President of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam to the late architect Kazimierz Kwiatkowski.

In a solemn and warm atmosphere, Ambassador Ha Hoang Hai presented the Friendship Order of Vietnam to the family representative, Professor Bartłomiej Kwiatkowski, son of the late architect Kazimierz Kwiatkowski.

Speaking at the ceremony, the Ambassador expressed his emotions, acknowledging the significant contributions of architect Kazimierz Kwiatkowski in preserving historical sites in Hoi An, My Sơn Sanctuary, Hue, and other locations in Vietnam. His efforts have helped promote these sites, leading to their inclusion in UNESCO's World Heritage list and strengthening the friendship between Vietnam and Poland.

The Ambassador shared that architect Kwiatkowski, known to the Vietnamese as "Kazik", left an "invaluable legacy" for Vietnam. To this day, the Vietnamese people fondly remember "Kazik" with admiration and hope his memory will live on in the hearts of both Vietnamese and Polish people.

Before the ceremony, Ambassador Ha Hoang Hai laid flowers in remembrance at the grave of the late architect Kazimierz Kwiatkowski in Lublin city cemetery.

On this occasion, Ambassador Ha Hoang Hai held meetings with Jaroslaw Stawiarski, Chairman of the Provincial Council, and Krzysztof Żuk, Mayor of Lublin city.

The discussions focused on the state of bilateral cooperation in 2025, marking the 75th anniversary of diplomatic relations between Vietnam and Poland, and explored future prospects and potential for bilateral relations, including promoting cooperation between Lubelskie province and Vietnamese localities.
