Viet Nam’s U23 side drawn in same group as Indonesia at SEA Games 31
The Vietnamese U23 men’s football team have been put in Group A alongside Indonesia, Myanmar, Philippines, and Timor Leste at the upcoming 31st Southeast Asian Games (SEA Games 31), as announced in a draw held on April 6 in Ha Noi.

The team led by head coach Park Hang-seo is set to play Indonesia in the opening match of the tournament on May 6. They will then face the Philippines, Myanmar, and Timor Leste on May 9, May 10, and May 15, respectively.
The Viet Tri stadium in Phu Tho province will host matches in Group A between May 6 and May 15.
Elsewhere, Group B consists of Thailand, Malaysia, Cambodia, Singapore, and Laos, with fixtures taking place at the Thien Truong stadium in Nam Dinh province from May 7 to May 16.
In the latter stages of the competition, the third-place match and the final are set to be held at the My Dinh National Stadium in Ha Noi on May 21 and May 22.
In the women’s football category, hosts Viet Nam have been drawn in Group A and will face Indonesia, the Philippines, and Cambodia on May 9, May 11, and May 14, respectively.
Group B will see the participation of Thailand, Singapore, Lao, and Myanmar.
All women’s football matches are due to run from May 9 to May 21 in Hung Yen and Quang Ninh provinces.
Furthermore, the men’s futsal category only comprises of five teams, including Thailand, Indonesia, Malaysia, Myanmar, and hosts Viet Nam. They will play in a round-robin format in Ha Nam province from May 11 to May 20.
Similarly, the women’s futsal teams from Thailand, Indonesia, Malaysia, Myanmar, and Viet Nam will compete in a round-robin format in Ha Nam province from May 10 to May 19.
