Viet Nam reports 7,646 new COVID-19 cases on Nov. 7

An additional 7,646 cases of COVID-19 were reported in Viet Nam on November 7, bringing the nationwide tally to 968,684.

An additional 7,646 cases of COVID-19 were reported in Viet Nam on November 7, bringing the nationwide tally to 968,684.

A further 61 deaths were also announced on the day.

Out of the new cases, 15 were imported and quarantined upon arrival.

Compared to the previous day, the number of daily cases has increased nationally by 151.

Ho Chi Minh City tops the list with 1,009 new infections, followed by Dong Nai province with 997, and Binh Duong province with 826.

The capital city of Hanoi logged 72 new cases.

Among the new COVID-19-related deaths, 31 were in HCM City. The other fatalities were recorded in Bac Lieu (7), Binh Duong (5), An Giang (5), Tien Giang (4), Dong Nai (2), Kien Giang (2), Dak Nong (1), Binh Thuan (1), Can Tho (1), Quang Ngai (1), and Soc Trang (1).

A total of 1,301 recoveries were reported on November 7, taking the total number of patients given the all-clear to 840,402.

There are currently 3,280 people being treated in intensive care units.

More than 89.6 million vaccine doses have been administered to date, with just over 28.7 million people having received two doses.
