During the cultural exchange activities at the event, the blue-helmeted soldiers of Engineering Team No. 4 brought a delightful surprise to their international friends.
Hands accustomed to levers and bulldozers skillfully crafted exquisite and visually appealing dishes. Moving beyond their heavy technical duties, the soldiers prepared intricate dishes rich in Vietnamese flavors.
This moment was not just about introducing cuisine but also about a cultural journey – building bridges that connect and spread through taste, touching hearts and leaving a profound impression on international friends.
Despite limited resources, preparing ingredients and cooking the dishes posed a significant challenge, requiring careful selection and creative seasoning.
At the exchange, Vietnamese engineers introduced international colleagues to signature dishes like Hanoi spring rolls, banh mi, and coffee – familiar yet captivating flavors. These dishes immediately piqued the curiosity and interest of colleagues from various countries.
The sophistication of the spring rolls, the richness of the banh mi, and the harmonious bittersweet taste of the coffee helped the blue-helmeted soldiers of Engineering Team No. 4 sow "seeds of goodwill", enhancing connections with other peacekeeping forces and contributing to a multicultural, friendly environment at the UNISFA mission.
