Ambassador He Wei conveyed congratulations from Politburo Member and Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi to Acting Foreign Minister Le Hoai Trung on his new role, reflecting the high trust of Vietnam's Party and State leadership in Le Hoai Trung. He expressed confidence that with his extensive experience, Acting Foreign Minister Le Hoai Trung will continue to make significant contributions to Vietnam's diplomacy and actively promote the comprehensive, substantive, and sustainable development of relations between the two Parties and States of China and Vietnam. He affirmed that the Chinese Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Chinese Embassy in Vietnam are ready to closely coordinate with the Vietnamese Ministry of Foreign Affairs to effectively implement high-level common understandings to promote the continuous development of relations between the two Parties and States.
Acting Foreign Minister Le Hoai Trung extended his best regards and congratulations to Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi. He highly appreciated Ambassador He Wei's outstanding contributions and close coordination with Vietnam's ministries, sectors, and localities, adhering to high-level agreements and common understandings to promote the deep and fruitful development of relations between the two Parties and countries of Vietnam and China.
Acting Foreign Minister Le Hoai Trung emphasized that Vietnam consistently values the strengthening and developing stable, long-term friendly cooperation with China as a consistent policy, an objective requirement, and a top priority in Vietnam's overall foreign policy. Vietnam appreciates and congratulates China's development achievements and always supports China's robust growth and increasingly positive and important role in regional and global peace, stability, and development.

To effectively implement the high-level common understandings of the two Parties and States, Acting Foreign Minister Le Hoai Trung suggested that the diplomatic agencies of both sides continue to enhance effective coordination, maintaining regular high-level strategic exchanges. He also proposed that both sides vigorously implement the pillars of defense-security cooperation, enhance the effectiveness of economic connectivity, prioritize cooperation in railway projects, and promote more substantive cooperation in trade, investment, science and technology, and innovation. Additionally, he emphasized boosting people-to-people exchanges to strengthen the positive social foundation for bilateral relations.
Regarding maritime issues, Acting Foreign Minister Le Hoai Trung proposed the two sides earnestly implement the high-level common perceptions on better managing and resolving differences. He urged both countries to properly handle maritime matters in a spirit of friendship, mutual respect for legitimate rights and interests, and in accordance with international law, including the 1982 United Nations Convention on the Law of the Sea (UNCLOS).
The Ambassador agreed with and appreciated Trung's views, affirming that the Chinese Party and State attach great importance and give high priority to relations with Vietnam in China’s neighbourhood diplomacy. He said China is ready to work with Vietnam to maintain regular high-level strategic exchanges, deepen substantive cooperation in various fields, and continue to implement activities of the China-Vietnam Year of Humanistic exchanges and the commemoration of the 75th anniversary of bilateral diplomatic relations.These efforts would help deepen the Vietnam-China Comprehensive Strategic Cooperative Partnership and community with a shared future that carries strategic significance.
