WVR - On January 1, amidst the vibrant atmosphere of welcoming the New Year 2026, the Vietnamese community in Malaysia organized the Vietnamese Tet Food Fair 2026 at The Mines resort, Selangor state.

This three-day event not only showcases culinary excellence but also serves as a cultural connection space, strengthening community bonds and promoting the image of Vietnam to international friends.

Speaking at the opening ceremony, Mrs. Tran Thi Chang, President of the Malaysia-Vietnam Friendship Association, emphasized that the fair is an opportunity to preserve and spread traditional Vietnamese cultural values amidst the flow of integration. Sharing the same view, Mrs. Tran Thi Tuyet Trinh, a representative of the organizing committee, stated that the program holds significant importance in connecting the Vietnamese community living and working in Malaysia.

This year's program saw active participation from Vietnamese and Malaysian businesses, offering quality products and creating a vibrant and diverse market. This marks the beginning of a goal to expand on a larger scale in the coming years.

According to organizers and businesses, this is a valuable opportunity for exchange and trade connections in an international environment. Mr. Nguyen Duc Tuyen, an event organizer from Vietnam, noted that the fair provides domestic businesses with real-world experience in the international market. Meanwhile, Ms. Nguyen Thi Tram, a representative of a participating business, expressed pride in bringing purely Vietnamese products closer to consumers in Malaysia, seeing it as a foundation to open up new development directions.

The fair not only attracted the Vietnamese community but also left a positive impression on international visitors. Mr. Babu Malam, a Bangladeshi worker in Malaysia, expressed his excitement about the lively performances and beautifully decorated booths, feeling the shared happiness of all attendees.

The success of the Vietnamese Tet Food Fair 2026 is expected to become a sustainable bridge, enhancing the relationship between the communities and businesses of Vietnam and Malaysia, fostering closer ties.
