Held immediately after the visits to Vietnam by Angola's Minister of Foreign Affairs Tete Antonio and Minister of Agriculture and Forestry Isaac Francisco Maria dos Anjos, the seminar is a practical activity aimed at concretizing the high-level agreements between the two countries' leaders and the Vietnam-Angola agricultural cooperation action plan for the period 2025-2030.
At the seminar, delegates unanimously assessed that Vietnam and Angola have significant complementarities: Angola has land resources, water, and a need for agricultural development; Vietnam has experience, technology, and effective tropical agriculture development models.
Both sides agreed to enhance cooperation along the value chain, from scientific research, breeding, technology transfer, agricultural extension, mechanization, post-harvest processing to market development. Priority areas include rice, cassava, soybeans, coffee, corn, forestry, high-tech agriculture, and human resource training.

Notably, the Angolan side continues to call for Vietnamese enterprises to expand investment in the agriculture and forestry sector, committing to provide favorable conditions regarding land, infrastructure, and policy mechanisms. Many Angolan enterprises and organizations also expressed their desire to connect with Vietnamese partners to implement specific cooperation projects.
Angolan media positively evaluated the event, considering it a concrete step to strengthen economic cooperation between the two countries, especially in agriculture, forestry, and technology transfer, contributing to deepening and enhancing the Vietnam-Angola Partnership.
