Politburo Member, Foreign Minister Le Hoai Trung receives outgoing Mongolian Ambassador Jigjee Sereejav
WVR - On April 21, at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs Headquarters, Politburo Member and Minister of Foreign Affairs Le Hoai Trung received Mongolian Ambassador Jigjee Sereejav for a farewell visit as he concludes his term in Vietnam.

Congratulating Ambassador Jigjee Sereejav on his outstanding completion of duties, Foreign Minister Le Hoai Trung highly appreciated the Ambassador's positive and dedicated contributions to enhancing and deepening the traditional friendship between Vietnam and Mongolia. He affirmed that during the Ambassador's term in Vietnam, the bilateral relations have seen significant developments and notable achievements across various fields. Minister Le Hoai Trung emphasized the establishment of the Vietnam-Mongolia Comprehensive Partnership during the State visit to Mongolia by General Secretary and President To Lam on the occasion of the 70th anniversary of diplomatic relations in 2024, opening a new chapter to elevate the bilateral relations in the future.
Minister Le Hoai Trung welcomed significant progress in economic, trade, investment, and agricultural cooperation between the two countries and the signing of numerous cooperation documents, creating a favorable legal framework to increase bilateral trade turnover. He also acknowledged new developments in cultural, tourism, education, and people-to-people exchanges, notably the signing of the visa exemption agreement for diplomatic, official, and ordinary passport holders in 2023, facilitating people-to-people exchanges and tourism cooperation between the two nations.

Affirming the importance of Mongolia's role and position, as well as the traditional friendship between the two countries, Minister Le Hoai Trung stressed the need for close cooperation to further promote the Vietnam-Mongolia Comprehensive Partnership. He suggested that both sides enhance high-level and multi-level exchanges in various flexible forms to share and coordinate policies, boost economic and trade cooperation, and urged Mongolia to facilitate Vietnamese businesses investing in clean energy, construction, and promote local cooperation and people-to-people exchanges.
Ambassador Jigjee Sereejav conveyed the congratulations of Mongolian Foreign Minister Batmunkh Battsetseg to Minister Le Hoai Trung on his election as a Politburo Member, National Assembly delegate, and Minister of Foreign Affairs. He expressed gratitude for Minister Le Hoai Trung's affection and attention to Vietnam-Mongolia relations over the years, as well as to foreign representative missions in Vietnam, including the Mongolian Embassy.
Fully agreeing with Minister Le Hoai Trung's directives, the Ambassador affirmed that in any new position, he would strive to contribute to the development of the good relations between Vietnam and Mongolia.
