During the meeting, Minister Le Hoai Trung expressed his delight at the robust development and increasing political trust in the Comprehensive Strategic Partnership between Vietnam and Japan. He appreciated the substantive cooperation between Okayama Prefecture and Vietnam through the investments made by the prefecture's enterprises in recent times.
Expressing appreciation to the Governor and Okayama authorities for facilitating and supporting the 13,000 Vietnamese living and working in the prefecture, Minister Trung called on Okayama to further enhance cooperation with Vietnamese localities, particularly in investment and high technology. On this occasion, he extended a cordial invitation to Governor Ibaragi to lead a business delegation to the 2nd Vietnam-Japan Local Cooperation Forum, scheduled to take place in Hue City in the third quarter of 2026.

Also attending the meeting, Vice Chairman of Sơn La Provincial People's Committee Đặng Ngọc Hậu introduced the potential and strengths of Sơn La Province. He expressed a desire to boost cooperation with Okayama in areas such as high-quality human resources supply, manufacturing and processing industries, high-tech agriculture, investment, and tourism.
Governor Ibaragi Ryuta agreed with Minister Lê Hoài Trung's remarks and affirmed his desire to further enhance cooperation with Vietnamese localities. Sharing his goals and directions for future cooperation between the prefecture and Vietnam, Governor Ibaragi emphasized the wish to strengthen human resource collaboration, promote investment, and explore the establishment of a direct flight route from Okayama to Vietnam.
On this occasion, Governor Ibaragi also praised the diligence and positive contributions of Vietnamese workers to the socio-economic development of the prefecture. He affirmed that Okayama is ready to welcome more Vietnamese workers to its enterprises in the future.
