Politburo member, Foreign Minister Le Hoai Trung attends reception marking the 9th Congress of the Workers’ Party of Korea
WVR - On the evening of March 31 in Hanoi, Politburo Member, Party Secretary, and Minister of Foreign Affairs Le Hoai Trung attended a reception celebrating the success of the 9th Congress of the Workers' Party of Korea, hosted by the Embassy of the Democratic People's Republic of Korea in Hanoi.

Attendees included representatives from various Vietnamese ministries and sectors, representatives from several foreign diplomatic missions in Vietnam, and organizations with friendly ties to DPR Korea.
In his speech at the event, Politburo Member, Party Secretary, and Foreign Minister Le Hoai Trung extended congratulations from the Party, Government, and people of Vietnam to the Party, Government, and people of Korea on the successful organization of the 9th Congress of the Workers' Party of Korea. He expressed confidence that under the leadership of the Workers' Party of Korea, headed by General Secretary and Chairman of the State Affairs Commission Kim Jong Un, the Korean people will successfully achieve the strategic goals of the 9th Party Congress, continue to develop the country prosperously, and constantly improve the people's living standards.

The Minister affirmed that in its foreign policy, Vietnam always values its relations with traditional friendly countries sharing socialist ideals, including Korea. He expressed belief that on the foundation of the good traditional friendship between Vietnam and Korea, with the high determination of the leaders of both countries and the unity and solidarity of the entire people, the two Parties, States, and Peoples will continue to successfully implement the Party's Resolution, develop a strong nation, and ensure increasingly prosperous and happy lives for the people.
In his speech at the event, Korean Ambassador to Vietnam Ri Sung Guk emphasized that the 9th Congress of the Workers' Party of Korea is a significant milestone, summarizing the achievements of the Party and the Korean people over five challenging years of struggle. It also opens a new path towards a brighter future and sets strategic directions for implementing the Party and State's work areas, thereby strengthening confidence and enhancing motivation to realize the goal of developing a prosperous nation.

Ambassador Ri Sung Guk affirmed that valuing and continuously developing relations with Vietnam—a traditional friendship forged through a long history—is a consistent stance of the Party and Government of Korea. Korea will continue to strengthen and develop traditional friendly cooperative relations with the Communist Party of Vietnam on the path of building socialism, actively contributing to building a fair and progressive world and enhancing solidarity and cooperation with progressive forces worldwide.
