Congratulating Ambassador Hynek Kmonicek on his outstanding accomplishments, Foreign Minister Le Hoai Trung highly appreciated the Ambassador's positive contributions in strengthening and deepening the traditional friendship between Vietnam and the Czech Republic. He affirmed that during the Ambassador's tenure in Vietnam, the bilateral relations have seen significant advancements, achieving remarkable results across various fields.
Political and diplomatic relations have been continuously reinforced through high-level visits and exchanges. Notably, the two countries officially elevated their relationship to a Strategic Partnership on the occasion of the 75th anniversary of diplomatic relations in 2025.
In terms of trade and investment, bilateral cooperation has continued to make significant progress. The two-way trade volume impressively doubled from 848 million USD in 2022 to approximately 2.3 billion USD in 2025. The successful operation of the Skoda automobile manufacturing plant reflects the vast cooperation potential and increasingly effective complementarities between the two economies.
The Minister also acknowledged the ongoing bilateral cooperation in other fields such as defense and security, education and training, science and technology, culture and tourism, and people-to-people exchanges. These efforts have enriched and substantiated the content of the Vietnam-Czech Strategic Partnership.
During the meeting, Minister Lê Hoài Trung outlined several major directions to further promote bilateral relations in the future. He expressed confidence that, with his extensive experience and deep understanding of Vietnam, Ambassador Hynek Kmonicek, in his new position, will continue to support and contribute effectively to advancing the Vietnam-Czech Strategic Partnership in a deeper, more effective, and sustainable manner.

Ambassador Hynek Kmonicek expressed his appreciation to Foreign Minister Le Hoai Trung and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Vietnam for their close cooperation and support, which enabled him to successfully fulfill his duties during his tenure in Vietnam.
Fully agreeing with the cooperation directions mentioned by Foreign Minister Le Hoai Trung, the Ambassador affirmed that, in any position, he will strive to contribute to the development of bilateral relations.
Sharing his positive impressions and sentiments towards the country and people of Vietnam, especially regarding Vietnam's socio-economic development and its increasing role and position in the region and internationally, Ambassador Hynek Kmonicek emphasized that the Czech Republic always considers Vietnam a top priority partner in Asia and wishes to expand comprehensive cooperation with Vietnam across all fields in the future.
On this occasion, Foreign Minister Le Hoai Trung thanked the Czech Republic for its support and facilitation for the Vietnamese community in the Czech Republic to stabilize their lives, integrate well, and actively contribute to the bilateral friendship.
