Nearly 240 Vietnamese citizens arrive home safely from Brunei: Foreign Ministry

The Vietnamese Embassy in Brunei sent staff to assist the citizens with necessary procedures ahead of their departure.

The flight is part of efforts by Vietnamese authorities, the Vietnamese Embassy in Brunei, Lilama Company, and Vietjet Air in coordination with the competent agencies of the host nation.

Vietjet Air carried out necessary epidemiological measures during the flight to prevent possible spread of the virus.

All passengers were also examined and quarantined according to regulations on COVID-19 prevention and control as soon as the plane touched down at Cam Ranh airport in Khanh Hoa province.

More repatriation flights will be conducted by Vietnamese competent agencies to bring home more Vietnamese citizens stranded overseas in line with the domestic epidemic situation and isolation capacity in the nation.
