Ministry of Foreign Affairs provides information on the passing of Former RoK Prime Minister Lee Hae Chan in Ho Chi Minh City

WVR - On January 25, responding to a reporter's inquiry about confirming the information regarding the passing of former Republic of Korea (RoK) Prime Minister Lee Hae Chan in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnamese Ministry of Foreign Affairs Spokesperson Pham Thu Hang stated:

“ In recent days, immediately upon receiving the news,, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs has closely coordinated with the People's Committee of Ho Chi Minh City and relevant agencies to provide the best possible medical care for Mr. Lee Hae Chan in Ho Chi Minh City. However, due to severe illness, Mr. Lee Hae Chan has passed away.

Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh and Vietnamese leaders have extended their heartfelt condolences to Republic of Korea Government and Mr. Lee Hae Chan's family.”
