Mang Den attracts 55,000 visitors during the New Year 2026

From January 1 to 4, 2026, the Mang Den plateau became a vibrant hub for tourists, businesses, and the culture and tourism community, marking an exciting start to the new year and the development journey of Quang Ngai tourism.

Set in a lush natural environment with fresh air and picturesque scenery, the 2026 Mang Den Culture and Tourism Week was not just a series of events to welcome the new year, but a harmonious blend of culture, tourism, sports, and community. Each organised activity contributed to vividly portraying Mang Den as a green, friendly, and experiential destination, evolving strongly in Quang Ngai's new development space.

The event series kicked off with the Opening Ceremony of the 2026 Mang Den Culture and Tourism Week, meticulously staged, rich in artistry, and deeply imbued with highland identity. The opening art program not only created a strong visual and emotional impression on the audience but also conveyed a message of convergence, harmony, and the aspiration to rise from this potential highland. The sounds of gongs, the rhythm of xoang, and modern melodies are intertwined with the mountainous space, ushering in a vibrant festival season.

The hot air balloon Festival followed, bringing vibrant colours to the Mang Den sky and becoming a unique visual highlight that attracted numerous tourists for check-ins and experiences. The sight of hot air balloons rising amidst the lush highlands not only created a spectacular scene but also helped spread the image of Mang Den across media platforms and social networks.

The "Mang Den New Day" art program continued to infuse youthful, modern energy into the festival space. Energetic musical performances, appealing to the youth yet honouring local cultural identity, created a bridge between tradition and modernity, nature and people, highlands and visitors from afar.

One of the activities that particularly attracted tourists was the Culinary Space – OCOP Fair, gathering distinctive flavours of Mang Den and the highlands from 52 enterprises, cooperatives, and business households. From OCOP products and local specialities to dishes rich in cultural identity, the culinary space not only satisfied the taste buds but also opened up many opportunities for connection and product consumption, contributing to local economic promotion linked with sustainable tourism development.

The festival atmosphere was further enlivened by the Quang Ngai Province Open Pickleball Tournament 2026, featuring 42 athletes. With the spirit of “Play Sports – Sow Green Seeds – Create the Future”, the tournament not only promoted an active, healthy lifestyle but also carried profound social significance. All socialised funds from the tournament, totalling 125 million VND, were used to purchase 1,250 Sakura cherry blossom trees, which were planted at tourist spots in Mang Den commune. This initiative contributed to creating green landscapes, protecting the environment, and promoting sustainable tourism development.

Additionally, coffee experiences, eco-tourism tours exploring nature, visits to pine forests, waterfalls, lakes, and local cultural spaces provided tourists with moments of relaxation and tranquillity amidst the highlands. The diversity, richness, and harmony of activities created a special appeal for the Mang Den 2026 Culture and Tourism Week.

Concluding the event series, the Closing Program of the Mang Den Culture and Tourism Week – Pink Hue Amidst the Highlands with the theme “Lingering Dreams” was a perfect end, leaving many emotions and beautiful impressions for everyone to carry unforgettable memories of Mang Den in their hearts.

The echoes left after four days of festivities serve as a foundation and motivation for Mang Den to continue to break through, gradually affirming its position on the tourism map of the Central Highlands and the nation.

The Mang Den 2026 Culture and Tourism Week: Pink Hue Amidst the Highlands was organised under the direction of the Quang Ngai Provincial People's Committee, implemented by the Department of Culture, Sports, and Tourism of Quang Ngai Province in collaboration with the Mang Den Commune People's Committee. The program was executed by Vietnam External Relations and Communications Joint Stock Company – VRI Media, with the companionship and sponsorship of Binh Son Refining and Petrochemical Joint Stock Company (BSR) – Gold Sponsor and Sun Group – Silver Sponsor.

The collaboration of management agencies, businesses, artists, service forces, and especially the support of the people and tourists contributed to a successful and meaningful Culture and Tourism Week. Mang Den – with the pink hue of flowers, the green of the forest, and the breath of the highlands – is gradually affirming itself as an attractive, safe, and promising destination for the future.
