Long Thanh Golf honored with ASEAN Business Awards for sustainable social enterprise

Mrs. Le Nu Thuy Duong, CEO of Long Thanh Golf Investment and Trading J.S.C., received the award of Sustainable social enterprise 2019.

Long Thanh Golf is Vietnam’s only representative to receive the award of Sustainable social enterprise 2019 in Southeast Asia.

Long Thanh Golf Investment and Trading J.S.C. has impressed the Judges for the core values that the company has built and upheld for many years. Over its 40 years of establishment and development, Long Thanh Golf Investment and Trading J.S.C. has participated in many sectors and always aimed toward coupling business development with social responsibilities.

Ms. Le Nu Thuy Duong, CEO of Long Thanh Golf Investment and Trading J.S.C., claimed that the core values of the companies revolve around three factors: Prestige – Pioneer – Responsibility. Along with the business philosophy of keeping “Prestige”, fulfilling its commitment with customers, partners, being the “Pioneer” in business development, the company would always use a portion of its business profits to take care of staff’s physical and mental wellbeing, as well as activities for society.

ASEAN BAC is organized and judged by the ASEAN Business Advisory Council.

Being a companion with the society in erasing hunger, reducing poverty, improving the healths and living qualities of the people, Long Thanh Golf has contributed more than 1.100 billion VND to charity works and organizations. During the first 9 months of 2019, the company has gifted 300 billion VND to social programs such as Foundation of Gratitude, Foundation for the poor, Foundation for milk at school, Foundation for children’s Heart…

During the 1990s, Long Thanh Golf was one of the first private enterprises to invest and develop real estates in Vietnam and was also among the first enterprises to invest in Clean energy in accordance to recommendation from the Government. The company was also a pioneer in apply clean energy for its Resort Complex in Vietnam.

Mentioning “Sustainable Cities and Communities” as the 11^th goal in UN’s 17 Sustainable Development Goals, CEO Le Nu Thuy Duong stated that the three factors of “Environment – Technology – Society” have always been prioritized during the company’s sustainable development strategy. Among those, the goal of “being friendly to environment and guaranteeing human health” has presented in all projects invested and developed by the company.

Disclosing about its long-term development strategy, Ms. Le Nu Thuy Duong stated that Long Thanh Golf Investment and Trading J.S.C. is heading toward applying technology in constructing – operating Urban area, aiming toward building “Smart City” with the goal of improving living standards, using energy sources effectively, optimizing and guaranteeing the health of the people. Yet, it is not merely about applying smart technology in management, but it is also about making the well-being of the people as core values; every residents would be able to enjoy a fulfilling and happy life.

Long Thanh Golf course has been voted as the most beautiful golf course in Vietnam and ranked among the best in Asia.

ASEAN BAC is organized annualy by the ASEAN Business Advisory Council from 2007 to honor successful and prominent businesses, business leaders with significant contributions to economic development and common prosperity of ASEAN. The award is also a foundation for providing information during the ASEAN Economic Community (AEC), promoting regional and international integration.
