'Legends of UVA' expected to become a unique tourist product of Dien Bien Province
During the National Tourism Year and the Ban Flower Festival 2024, Dien Bien province will host the "Legends of UVA" live performance show at 18:00 on the days from March 13th-15th and on March 17th.

The "Legends of UVA" live performance show consists of 3 chapters: Chapter I - Legends of the Thai people and UVA (the legend of the gourd), Ancient imprints of the Thai people; Chapter II - The Legend of Khan Pieu (praising love and the legend of Khau cut); Chapter III - Rituals and culture - Humanistic, long-standing beauty, pride of the Thai people and the connection between the present and the past (between today's people and their origins).
The program is associated with the natural landscape of Uva hot springs tourist area and Uva lotus pond.
The event is expected to bring tourists new, unique, and attractive experiences, soon becoming a unique tourist product of the province. Thus contributing to connect the community and businesses to build appealing, far-reaching, and engaging products.
In addition, the program showcases the most typical features of regional cultures and promotes the potential for tourism development in the country. It creates the connection between regions, cultural identity of Dien Bien - Northwest ethnic groups and the Dien Bien Phu Victory.
The live performance is organized in Uva village, Noong Luong commune, Dien Bien district, Dien Bien province.
To strengthen the bond, create momentum for tourism development between Dien Bien province and the Northwestern provinces and other provinces and cities, and soon make tourism a leading economic sector, contributing to enhancing the image, position, and brand of Vietnamese tourism in general and Dien Bien province in particular in the coming years, the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism has decided to choose Dien Bien province as the host for the National Tourism Year 2024, with the theme " Glorious Dien Bien Phu – Infinite Experiences".
Within the framework of the National Tourism Year 2024, there will be 169 programmes and events taking place. Among them, there will be 13 national programs and events organized by the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism, central ministries, and agencies; 28 programs, events, and activities hosted by Dien Bien province; 128 events, activities organized by 33 provinces and centrally governed cities.
The opening ceremony of the National Tourism Year - Dien Bien and the Ban Flower Festival 2024 with the theme "Visiting Ban Flower Land” is a representative event with national scale.
The festival, organized with a series of activities throughout 2024, provides an opportunity for Dien Bien province to attract domestic and international tourists to Vietnam through the introduction, promotion of images, tangible and intangible cultural values, resources, and unique tourist products of Vietnam in general and Dien Bien province in particular. At the same time, it significantly promotes tourism development links between localities.
