Launch of Romania–Vietnam House: Connecting businesses, promoting trade and investment cooperation

WVR - On September 15, the launch ceremony of the "CASA România - Vietnam" Association (The Romania - Vietnam House) took place at the association's headquarters - No. 7, Gheorghe Brătianu Street, Bucharest.

The association was established on the initiative of businessman Iosif Armas, a former Romanian Member of Parliament, to promote trade and investment cooperation between Vietnam and Romania.

Romania - Vietnam House: Mr. Iosif Armas, Chairman of CASA România - Vietnam, delivered the opening speech at the event.

The association's leadership includes: Honorary Chairmen Mr. Gabriel Oprea (former Acting Prime Minister, former Minister of Defense, former Minister of Internal Affairs of Romania) and Mr. Dang Xuan Loc (Vice President of the Vietnamese Business Association in Romania); Executive Chairmen Mr. Iosif Armas and Mr. Dang Quang Vinh. The association's Secretariat comprises Lawyer Nicolae Traistaru and Ms. Nguyen Thi Thanh Nga (a Vietnamese entrepreneur in Romania).

Attending the ceremony, besides the leadership of CASA România - Vietnam, were Vietnamese Ambassador to Romania Le Vinh Thang; Mr. Nguyen Anh Tuan, Chairman of Thanh Cong Group (Vietnam); Mr. Nguyen Van Duc, Chairman of CSP Group (Czech Republic); along with representatives of a number of Romanian businesses.

Speaking at the event, Vietnamese Ambassador to Romania Le Vinh Thang congratulated the leadership and founding members of CASA România - Vietnam; emphasized the traditional friendship and excellent multifaceted cooperation between the two countries as a favorable foundation for further expanding cooperation, especially in the fields of trade and investment, science and technology, education and training, and people-to-people exchanges.

The Ambassador highly appreciated the association's goal of connecting businesses from both countries, supporting information exchange, and cooperation opportunities; affirmed that the Vietnamese Embassy is ready to assist the association in connecting with suitable partners in Vietnam.

Mr. Gabriel Oprea emphasized that the Romanian state always values strengthening and developing the traditional and trustworthy friendship with Vietnam; he believes that CASA România - Vietnam will contribute to transforming the traditional friendship foundation between the two countries into specific cooperative projects, creating new cooperation opportunities for businesses on both sides, thereby building an economic bridge based on trust, dialogue, and efficiency.

Sharing his special attachment to Vietnam (having visited Vietnam multiple times), Mr. Iosif Armas expressed his desire for CASA România - Vietnam to become a “common home” connecting businesses, resources, and cooperative ideas of the two countries, contributing to deepening and substantiating the Vietnam - Romania relationship.
