Highlights of the international art exchange 'Welcome New Year 2026' celebrating the 14th National Party Congress

Attending the program were comrades: Le Hoai Trung, Secretary of the Party Central Committee, Minister of Foreign Affairs; Nguyen Thi Thanh, Member of the Party Central Committee, Vice Chairwoman of the National Assembly; Vu Dai Thang, Member of the Party Central Committee, Deputy Secretary of the City Party Committee, Chairman of the Hanoi People's Committee, along with representatives of central and Hanoi city departments and agencies.
On the international side, there were Ambassadors, Chargé d'affaires, Embassy staff from various countries, representatives of international organizations, non-governmental organizations, and foreign students working and studying in Hanoi.

Speaking at the exchange night, Chairman of the Hanoi Union of Friendship Organizations Nguyen Ngoc Ky expressed gratitude to international delegates for their support and companionship with Vietnam on its path of integration and development, contributing to enhancing Vietnam and Hanoi's position on the international stage. He also extended best wishes to all delegates for a happy, prosperous, and peaceful New Year.
The year 2025 marks many significant historical milestones for Vietnam, such as the 50th anniversary of the Liberation of the South and National Reunification; the 80th anniversary of the August Revolution and National Day; and the 30th anniversary of Vietnam joining ASEAN. 2025 was also a successful year in foreign affairs and international integration for Vietnam and Hanoi amidst various challenges and opportunities. Organized exchange and friendship activities opened up many avenues for cooperation in economic, cultural, and social fields, attracting attention both domestically and internationally, contributing to enhancing Hanoi and Vietnam's position globally.
"The program is a cultural and artistic event, a gift for Vietnamese and international delegates on the occasion of the New Year; it contributes to strengthening solidarity and friendship between the Vietnamese people and people from other countries in general, and between the people of Hanoi and those of capitals and cities worldwide. It is also an opportunity to promote the image of Hanoi - the City of Peace, the City of 'Tradition-Civilization-Modernity-Happiness' to international friends," emphasized the Chairman of the Hanoi Union of Friendship Organizations.

On behalf of international friends, Palestinian Ambassador Saadi Salama, Head of the Diplomatic Corps in Vietnam, affirmed the importance and appreciation of the coordination and connection role of the Hanoi Union of Friendship Organizations. The Ambassador pledged to continue actively accompanying and participating in the capital's people-to-people diplomatic activities, thereby enhancing dialogue, building trust, and promoting mutual understanding between nations, cultures, and peoples.
The art program was meticulously staged, featuring performances by Vietnamese and international artists, showcasing traditional and cultural exchanges. It included a variety of colorful performances by amateur foreign artists from embassies, using costumes and makeup appropriate to the content and traditional cultural arts of their nations.
