Hanoi promotes tourism on domestic and international media channels

On October 30, Hanoi Tourism Department informed that the Capital’s tourism industry received 1.81 million visitors this month, which went up 17.2% over the same period in 2022.

In a total of last 10 months, Hanoi tourism industry welcomed 20.7 million tourists, which raised 34.3% over the same period in 2022. Particularly, the number of international travelers coming to Hanoi amounted to 3.6 million compared to the same period last year, domestic visitors reached 17.1 million, an increase of 19.1% over the same period in 2022.

Total revenue from tourists is valued at 76.3 trillion VND, which went up 66.7% over the same period last year.

In October, the average room occupancy rate of hotel sector reached 50.1%, decreased 7.5% compared to September 2023.

Thus, in the past 10 months, the average capacity of hotel sector peaked at 59.9%, an increase of 13.9% over the same period last year. This result shows that the number of guests staying in Hanoi has increased.

To attract tourists from now until the end of the year, Hanoi Tourist Department will implement the 2023 Hanoi Tourism Gift Festival with a series of activities on sports, entertainment and ecotourism, as well as a travel photo contest “Welcome Hanoi City”.

Hanoi continues to implement plans to improve tourism products' quality and tourist destinations associated with heritage - monument and craft villages along Hanoi Center - Thanh Tri - Thuong Tin - Phu Xuyen route and Hanoi Center - Thanh Oai - Ung Hoa - My Duc route; build a pilot community tourism model related with practical experience in craft villages and tourist sites promoting traditional values ​​of ethnic minorities in Ba Vi district.

Specially, Hanoi Tourism Department will promote the Capital's tourism on domestic and international media channels, as well as social media, and coordinate with Vietnam National Authority of Tourism, Vietnamse diplomatic missions abroad to promote tourism products at the TOPRESA Tourism Fair in France or World Tourism Market (WTM) in London (the UK).
