PAS 2018 aims to celebrate all types of performing art by gathering all practices – amateur and professional – in Vietnam and other South East Asian countries. Artists at different ages will perform various art forms at the event.

In addition, a French-speaking improvisation tournament opposing 4 teams of players from 12 to 15 years old will be held for the first time this year. The first match will open the festival at 7pm on Friday, May 18, preceding “The next door”, a French play by The Three Mosquitoes company coming from Bangkok.

The PAS festival also provides a forum for artists to strengthen multicultural exchange. This year, it is being enriched with the participation of Vietnamese artists in multiple domains: playback theatre (ViPlayback), experimental theatre (The Run – Tra Nguyen) and contemporary dance (Kinergie Studio). Vietnamese and French musicians will also team up to present their work during the festival.

Moreover, this PAS edition will introduce to the public about various art workshops in Vietnamese, English and French on May 19 – 20. Each workshop offers an excellent opportunity to practice different kinds of arts such as drama, puppet, storytelling, creative writing, visual arts and dance.

PAS 2018 is jointly held by the Agency for French Education Abroad (AEFE), the French school Alexandre Yersin and the French embassy in Vietnam.
