Foreign Minister Bui Thanh Son hosts Lao counterpart
Foreign Minister Bui Thanh Son held a working session with his Lao counterpart Saleumxay Kommasith in Ha Noi in the framework of an official visit to Viet Nam by Lao Party General Secretary and President Thongloun Sisoulith.

The two ministers spoke highly of the close and effective coordination between the two countries’ agencies to make thorough preparations for the visit by the Lao Party and State leader, from the visit's agenda to protocol affairs and pandemic prevention, contributing to the success of the visit.
They pledged to continue effectively realising the bilateral cooperation agreement between the two Foreign Ministries for the 2021-2025 period, focusing on stepping up strategic studies and regular exchanges between the two ministries’ key units, and enhancing cooperation in the training of personnel, including under trilateral cooperation model.
The two sides also vowed to effectively carry out an action programme on economic diplomacy cooperation for the 2020-2025 period and continue offering mutual support at sub-regional, regional and international forums.
