There are more than 50 Vietnamese amateur teams competing in the tournament. These teams are carefully selected from nearly 100 registered clubs.
Accordingly, the qualifying round will take place from April 3 to April 10, with 4-5 teams evenly divided into each among 12 groups. They will play in a round-robin format. The 32 teams with the highest scores in the qualifying round will compete in the final round on 17 April at the Omiya Kenpo Sports Complex, Saitama City.
On March 21Japan announced to lift COVID-19 restrictions, especially on the number of people allowed to gather. However, the organizers still thoroughly implement measures to prevent the spread of the pandemic.
The tournament is not only a sports playground for health training, community connections but also a close friendship between overseas Vietnamese and people in the host country. It also has a profound humanistic value, expresses the spirit of mutual intimacy and national solidarity.
Through the tournament, the Organizing Committee will launch charity donations to build a Vietnamese pagoda in the heart of Tokyo - a spiritual fulcrum for the Vietnamese community in a foreign land.
