Receiving the Minister of Foreign Affairs of El Salvador, Foreign Minister Bui Thanh Son welcomed the visit of Ms. Alexandra Hill Tinoco, affirming that along with El Salvador's opening of an Embassy in Vietnam, the visit is an important milestone,to promote the bilateral relations to develop further since the two countries established diplomatic relations in 2010.

El Salvador's Foreign Minister Alexandra Hill Tonoco said that the Embassy of El Salvador in Vietnam is the country's first Embassy in Southeast Asia, expressing its desire to further strengthen the relationship between the two countries.

At the talks, the two sides emphasized that Vietnam and El Salvador need to promote high-ranking visits, as well as ministerial, sectoral and local levels, to enhance mutual understanding.
