First Meeting of the Vietnam-China Ministerial-Level Strategic Dialogue on foreign affairs, national defense and public security

WVR - On the morning of March 16, in Hanoi, the first meeting of the ministerial-level "3+3" strategic dialogue mechanism between Vietnam and China took place, attended by the Ministers of Foreign Affairs, National Defense, and Public Security of both countries.

Minister of Foreign Affairs Le Hoai Trung, Minister of Defense, General Phan Van Giang, Minister of Public Security, General Luong Tam Quang, Minister of Foreign Affairs Wang Yi, General Dong Jun, and Minister of Public Security Wang Xiaohong attended the first meeting of the "3+3" strategic dialogue mechanism, a new cooperation framework aimed at enhancing strategic exchange and coordination in key areas.

The meeting took place in the context of the Vietnam-China relationship continuing its positive development momentum, with numerous high-level exchanges and substantive cooperation across various fields. The establishment and implementation of the "3+3" strategic dialogue mechanism demonstrate both sides' determination to enhance strategic exchange, strengthen political trust, and promote closer coordination among foreign affairs, defense, and security agencies.

At the meeting, the Ministers will engage in extensive discussions on ways to advance bilateral relations in the future, emphasizing the effective utilization of existing cooperation mechanisms, increasing high-level and other exchanges, promoting substantive cooperation in diplomacy, defense, and security, as well as expanding coordination on regional and international issues of mutual interest.
