First German Christmas market to open in Ha Noi

The event is jointly held by the German Embassy, the Goethe Institute Vietnam, ACM and other German organizations in Ha Noi.

Visitors will have a chance to experience Christmas with all their senses, purchase special hand-made items and spend memorable moments with friends and family over a cup of hot wine.

The highlight of the Christmas Market will be Christmas Concert performed by the Suc Song Moi Bambus Ensemble, which features classical music and international Christmas favorites to sing along to. The concert will be held at the market at 6pm on December 14, 2017.

In addition, to celebrate the 20th anniversary of the Goethe-Institut’s presence in Vietnam, the Goethe-Institut Ha Noi will organize a special Christmas concert at 8pm on December 21.

The concert program features Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart’s Coronation Mass as well as Johann Sebastian Bach’s Orchestra Suite in D major, which also includes the famous Air on the G string.

The Vietnam National Symphony Orchestra is joined by two choruses including the Ha Noi Catholic Youth Choir, the Opera Choir and four soloists, two of them from Germany.
